BIOGRAPHY
It was in July 2001 when the band was born and took the first steps in the Italian metal scene, after six months of furious ...practise culminated in a studio EP called "Beyond" and recorded in april 2002 featuring five songs.
New dimensions soon appear in the band's music and in january 2005 the band entered the studio to record the first debut "Wayside". This album attract the attention of New LM Records, and the band is offered a deal. Motus Tenebrae play gigs and sign an agreement with Necrotorture Agency for massive promotion.
In May 2006 the band began to write the next album so in October 2007 is published "Soul Expression".
Motus Tenebrae has earned its reputation as one of the foremost heavy/gothic/doom metal bands by Italian repeatedly shattering expectations and pushing the very limits of the genre, and they've never made the same album twice.
For this reason the concept-album "The Synthetic Bliss" was released in September 2009.
It was time to leave comfort zones in order to explore new horizons and with great patience and orchestral elements was produced the fifth album from Revalve Records called "Double Black" in 21/12/2012.
The band spend their autumn and winter 2015 on the tuscany countryside, rehearsing and arranging the songs for their sixth album "Deathrising"
The actual recordings begin in august 2014 by posting the new song Cold World.
Motus Tenebrae proudly unveiled the next stages of their ongoing musical evolution, a time consuming experience, but the only way to reach ultimate goal and creating a new album that could lift Motus Tenebrae up to the next level signing a new contract deal with My Kingdom Music.
